8 Years Old

Happy 8th Birthday Hunter! We love you so much and are so proud of you and all that you do!!! You are such a good brother to Hannah and a blessing in all of our lives. We are looking forward to August when you will be baptized.
Hunter was so excited the morning of his birthday. He woke up at 6am and came into our room. Of course being a day we could sleep in (Sunday) we told him to go back to bed but, that wasn't going to happen. It is so fun seeing their excitement at this age. So he went and got Hannah up and off they went to find his present.
At first Ryan tricked him and told him it was a lawn mower (this is a joke in our family with Ryan having his lawn business he is always trying to get one of us to go and mow with him).

Now, the real present. Since we don't have any grass for them to play on we thought we would suprise him with a swimming pool. It isn't very big but will fit great on our cement.
They were so excited!! They are enrolled for swimming lessons in two weeks.
Hunter at his birthday party blowing out his number 8 candle. Instead of buying a cake he wanted Root Beer floats & brownies.
Opening his presents-
Wow! A John Deere beach towel.

Thanks to everyone for making Hunter's birthday so great!!!

Night At The Park

We went to the Riverdale Park on Memorial Day weekend and had a picnic with my family. It was lots of fun. Hunter & Hannah loved playing on the slides, monkey bars and climbing wall.

A Day In The Life Of Pioneers

Last week me and Hannah joined Hunter's class for a field trip to the American West Heritage Place in Wellsville, Ut. What a experience. The students were able to experience first hand how the pioneers use to live. They got to milk a cow by hand, wash clothes in a basin, see an outhouse, learn about the duties of a blacksmith and tour through the houses they lived in. Here are some pictures I took-
Hunter and his buddies.
Ringing out the clothes.

Of course Hannah had to try it too.

Washing clothes by hand in a basin! I am sure grateful we have washing machines!!!!

Hannah loved the chickens!

Look at the outhouse!

We have been working really hard in our yard (even though it doesn't look like much is happening). We poured more cement so the kids would have more room to ride their bikes and play basketball! Now we are working on placing rocks around in flower beds and leveling all the dirt. Hopefully we will get grass in the backyard soon!!
Hunter and Hannah love riding their bikes and scooters. They are such good buddies!!!

Hunter has finished soccer and started baseball. He had his first baseball game tuesday night. It is so fun to see how much his team improves over time. This year they are hitting off a pitching machine.

They love to play on this big dirt hill in our backyard! We are getting so excited and counting down the days for school to be out!!! We have lots planned for our summer off-

Thanks Rich and Kathy we had so much fun.

Breakfast At Jeremiah's With The Judkins Family

Yes, we are still alive! Life has just been really busy. Hunter finished basketball and now he is playing baseball and soccer. So we have practice a couple of nights a week. Ryan is busy with his lawn business and trying to level our ground for a yard. Hannah is our little energizer bunny. She is constantly moving and chattering. My goal is to post more often.
